Cheek Lift

The cheeks are the foundation of the midface and are composed of fat, bone and ligaments. As part of the normal aging process, the fat shrinks, the bone resorbs and the ligaments loosen. These changes, combined with genetics, sun damage and other environmental factors (like smoking), all contribute to the descent of the cheeks over time. Eventually, the falling cheeks leave a drawn, gaunt or hollow midface. You may notice that your friends think you are tired, angry or sad when in fact you feel well rested and full of energy. During your consult with board-certified, fellowship trained oculoplastic surgeon  Katherine J. Zamecki, MD, FACS, a careful evaluation will made of your midface and how it relates to the eyelids. Dr. Katherine J. Zamecki, MD, FACS will discuss treatment options to restore a youthful contour.

Board-certified, fellowship trained oculoplastic surgeon Katherine J. Zamecki, MD, FACS treats midface aging with a variety of surgical and non-surgical techniques including cheek implants, injectable soft tissue fillers (i.e. Perlane®, Juvederm®), surgical midface lifting procedures and laser skin resurfacing. These procedures are often performed in combination with lower eyelid surgical rejuvenation (blepharoplasty). Call 203-791-2020 to schedule a consultation.
